Description

At home with Rodin.

The Rodin Museum is a state-owned establishment, managed by the Ministry for Culture, and it attracts an average of 680,000 visitors a year.
After the Louvre, Versailles and the Musée d'Orsay, but ahead of the Orangerie and the Musée Picasso, it is one of the most visited museums in France.

Clearly this stems from the renown and fame of the works of Rodin. It is no doubt also due to the particular charm of the location, its gardens, the southern part of which were completely redesigned in 1993, but also the Hotel Byron which houses the master's works and collections. Here everything was designed by Rodin, including the chairs, armchairs and sofas on which visitors can sit. Between 2012 and 2014, the Rodin Museum has been carrying out museography and renovation works at the Hotel Byron, to continue to showcase the permanent collections in the best way possible.
Without attempting to entirely rebuild an era, but providing a thoughtful retrospective, the Rodin Museum is full of the unique charm of an artist's residence that is truly lovely to wander around.
