Description

The history of Protestantism.

Created between 1927 and 1930 by architect Charles Letrone and the Société d'Histoire du Protestantisme, the Calvin museum is located on the site of the home of Jean Calvin.
The famous theologian was born on July 10th 1509.
The museum brings together his biography with the history of Protestanism during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
A diverse range of works and paintings will introduce Calvin's life and work, the evolution of the Reformation, the conflict between Catholics and Protestants and the relationship between Protestants and the monarchy during the sixteenth century.
