Brest

Events (7) / Recommended Venues (51)

Situated in the Finistère at the tip of a 150-km² harbour, Brest has always played an essential part in France’s military and maritime history. Brest’s harbour can accommodate the biggest super-tankers and ships and is the centre of France’s shipbuilding and repairing industry.
The town is also of considerable cultural and architectural interest, with a reputable university and a number of chateaux, manor houses and monuments. This, combined with the mild Atlantic climate, make it both an ideal destination for tourists and a pleasant place to live for the 156 217 "Brestois" who live there.
